There are some major differences in the way we develop our products, the ingredients we choose, and the research and testing we do.
Let's talk ingredients.
Starting with wax.
Our luxurious waxes are vegan blends of natural apricot, organic hemp, soy, and coconut depending on the collection.

Crafted better.
vegan. Vegan products contain no animal products or animal-derived ingredients. Nada. Zero. None.
toxin-free. Various categories of toxins can pose adverse health effects from exposure. We're proud to say that our waxes do not contain reproductive, acute, or organ toxins. No way!
phthalate-free. Phthalates are lil scent carriers that help scents linger longer. Some types of phthalates have affected the reproductive system of laboratory animals. We aren't about that, so none of our fragrances contain phthalates.
paraben-free. Parabens are a family of related chemicals that are commonly used as preservatives in cosmetic products. See ya never!
gluten-free. This one is easy! Products marked gluten-free do not contain gluten.
carcinogen-free. Ingredients on the CA Prop 65 list are known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm - no thanks! Non of our fragrances require Prop 65 labeling.

Wood Wicks.
Our wood wicks are sourced from FSC-certified mills. All of our crackling wicks produce a relaxing ambiance similar to a fireplace and provide a beautiful horizontal flame shape. They are also:

self trimming. Designed to provide the benefits of a self-trimming wick posture with rigidity approaching those found in cored wicks.
predictable wick posture. High-performance fibers, along with other natural materials are engineered into a specially constructed braid, producing a more predictable wick posture.
all-natural. No synthetic additives, only ingredients from nature. We like it natural.
allergen-free. Sayin' no to common allergens with products free of wheat, gluten, fish, shellfish, egg, soy, and peanuts.
sustainably-made. Manufactured using renewable ingredients & practices, like our wooden wicks, which come from FSC certified mills.
bio-degradable. Can be decomposed naturally by bacteria or other living organisms!

mutagen-free. Chemicals or physical agents that can change our genetic makeup in a harmful way? Nope. Not about it. Exposure to mutagens can produce DNA mutations that contribute to disease, that why none of our products contain them.

An important note on our wicks.
Trimming the wick on any candle is necessary to ensure a more even burn, and to control the flame height, and lessen soot production. Some soot is normal as your candle burns, but you should never see a constant stream of soot coming from your wick.
We recommend using a wick trimmer to trim, especially with your wood wick candles. The design of a trimmer will ensure a clean and even cut, especially as your candle burns and your wick sits lower in the container. These can be found on amazon for $10 to $20 and we believe they are worth the investment.
Trim the wick(s) before each burn, and try to remove the black part of the *wood* wick when possible. You want to begin each burn with about 1/4" wick height. Once your candle has been lit for 4 hours, we recommend blowing it out, trimming the wick, and re-lighting if desired.
